Red Book #1787, MASON'S / PATENT/ NOV 30TH / 1858 - C / 6 (on base), rich yellow with an olive green tone, Quart, has an old zinc lid with a moon and star in the center. The ground mouth is perfect, the jar has a few very minor scratches, a nice clean jar in a rare and beautiful color, $675
Red Book #1920 MASON'S / CFJ CO monogram / PATENT/ NOV 30TH / 1858 - G143 (on base), rich yellow green color, Quart, bold embossing, numerous bubbles in the glass and some whittle. Has the original correct lugged zinc lid, the ground mouth has two small shallow flakes off the inside, the jar has a couple very minor light wear scratches otherwise is pristine, a very rare and beautiful color with a lot of green in it, $2,500
Red Book #2385, POTTER & BODINE'S / AIR TIGHT / FRUIT JAR / PHILADA - PATENTED / APRIL 13TH 1858, aqua, Quart. The wax seal groove was formed by depressing the blown projection on the neck of the jar while the glass was still in an elastic state. Bold embossing, lots of tiny to small bubbles in the glass, has some interior dullness and a few minor scratches, otherwise perfect, a nice example of this very rare early jar, $1,000
Red Book #2388, POTTER & BODINE'S / AIR TIGHT / FRUIT JAR / PHILADA - PATENTED / APRIL 13TH 1858, aqua, Sand Chip Pontil, Quart. The wax seal groove was formed by depressing the blown projection on the neck of the jar while the glass was still in an elastic state. Very bold embossing, lots of bubbles in the glass. The jar is in perfect condition but has some brownish residue trapped in the folded mouth, a fine example of this rare and early jar, $950
